Updating grav

Hi, I have a very simple hosting and I cannot use the cli. I installed grav a while ago( version 1.9 I believe) and I would like to upgrade to the newest 1.13. I have installed the admin plugin and it neatly shows that I can upgrade the script. When I click that, it starts downloading and then claims that grav is upgraded. However this is not the case. When I click on another tab in the admin, I get the alert again that I am using 1.9 and that I can upgrade to 1.13. Also I cannot upgrade my plugins as many of them say they need 1.13 to install, which means Grav is still not upgraded. How can I upgrade grav?

You can always grab the update here: https://github.com/getgrav/grav/releases/download/1.1.13/grav-update-v1.1.13.zip

extract it on your local, and then simply upload and copy of the files on your existing site.

Pretty strange that it didn’t upgrade ok with the admin. Especially if there was no error. We’ve not really seen that behavior before.

I had similar issue a week ago when I try to update to 1.1.2. The cmd line says I am updated, but the admin page says I was still on 1.1.9. Clearing the cache helped.

Are you on windows? I’m trying to find out how to replicate this issue as it just works fine on my mac.

Or does that just show the plugin removed?

Can we move this to the issue tracker: https://github.com/getgrav/grav-plugin-admin/issues/939#issuecomment-273940443

It’s not specifically an admin issue, but as there is an open issue there…

Fixed on GPM server side, more info: https://github.com/getgrav/grav/issues/1267#issuecomment-274295364

I had the same issue on windows 10 pro with firefox pro and standard. Impossible to update to the latest grav version. By using the CLI , it works fine. If it can help.
