Numbered versus not numbered

I started using Grav with numbered folders, but now that I have more than 100 folders, I find that they are being renumbered as I add new posts.

I’m just wondering, is there any downside to now switching to non-numbered?

I don’t use the numbering, as far as I know, because for posts the display order is based on the date of publication.

It might simplify updating to the production version if I went to non-numbered.

Usually numbered folders are used to determine the visibility option, for use in menus.
For blog posts, for example, they are not much useful if not for internal organization purposes (e.g. I use them sometimes to clearly identify the order of the blog posts)
