Install Grav in a subfolder

Can you post a link to your grav-site?

Grav files are being uploads for now  I am sending you the link to my site right after!

I would strongly recommend to NOT USE 777, since it is a big security-hole … for testing it would be fine.

You may want to register to gitter (github) chat, there you will be helped also https://gitter.im/getgrav/grav

Okay, thanks !

Nothing to do, I always get a 500 error, even after clearing my cache and changed the permissions on the .htaccess … My website: https://incompris.olympe.in/artistes/ (Provisional url)

You might want to look at this section in the docs

What if I want to run grav at https://mydomain.com/various_cms_packages/flat_cms_packages/grav

Is there a way to do that?

You just put Grav in that subfolder, and it should run just fine.

I think I was unclear. I want to run grav NOT in the webroot of my site. That just runs automatically if I put the files there? That is not happening for me.

It should work just fine. Does it give you any problem, and if so which error is printed?

Thank you for helping me with this. The error coming up is http 500 shown in the first image attached. I just emptied a domain so Grav can have it all to itself. The domain is devserver-017.info The first thing I did was test the domain by installing WordPress, immediately before trying Grav again. WordPress worked normally. Then I deleted everything from the domain and copied into it grav-skeleton-bones-site.zip, which I just pulled from https://github.com/smartgravity/grav-skeleton-bones-site/releases/download/v0.4.0/grav-skeleton-bones-site.zip [Gravw] I simply extracted it into the web-root for that domain and it did not work. I tried several remedies but nothing changed in the result. I don’t know if phpinfo printout is relevant but if it is, it can be viewed at devserver-107.info/inf0

I am sorry for the confusion, but in shuffle of files somewhere I lost .htaccess, so I am reloading Grav right now. This will just take a minute

Ok, so the updated directory listing is attached. I had lost .htaccess when moving from the grav fold that comes out of the zip file into the web-root folder. I guess the my shell ignores hidden files on move, so I need to fix that.

Same error is coming up, also shown in the image attached. Gravw

I checked and tried all the items listed at http://learn.getgrav.org/troubleshooting/internal-server-error

No effect.
