See my bit above about downloading and extracting the release version, or as bob says, download it directly from the getgrav.org site in the skeletons section.
Go to http://getgrav.org/downloads/skeletons and download a .zip file from there. Don’t mess with GitHub, for now. Stay simple.
@rhukster - you mean the skeletons on GitHub? The downloadable ones on the Grav site are a complete web site in a box. No?
- cloned /var/www/htmlwww.example.com
- mv /var/www/htmlwww.example.com/user /var/www/htmlwww.example.co/user-bak
- git clone https://github.com/getgrav/grav-skeleton-striped-site.git /var/www/html/www.example.com/user
- chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/html/www.example.com
- cd /var/www/html/www.example.com && bin/grav install
Once again I have broken CSS and no sidebar.
STOP GIT CLONING!!!
I’m going back to Drupal. This project sucks.
DOWNLOAD a skeleton from here: http://getgrav.org/downloads/skeletons
The project is pretty cool, although very different from Drupal. Some say Drupal sucks.
You can shove that zip where the sun doesn’t shine. Who uses zip anymore?
Now be nice.
I’m a Drupal guy that now says “Grav sucks”. At least Drupal pays really good.
And Drupal can be installed via git.
OK, to each their own. You haven’t downloaded a .zip, extracted the contents and put them in your webroot.
Yes I did, it didn’t work.
If you read above, you can install via git if you REALLY want to. No need to be rude. Just read what I wrote… sigh…
You did? All I saw was your git clone command above.
How about providing a URL we can look at?
You’ve got 2 people interacting with you directly to help solve your problems here… take advantage of it

It’s a self signed cert
Uggg… this is not one of themes I did… looks like there’s a problem in the theme code as it is wrapping the style tags in noscript. Do me a favor and try any other skeleton other than this one.
