Dangerous abandoned plugin on the Grav repo [ Dark Admin ]

Hi, I hope the day is going well.

I’m writing to report a plugin that today destroyed my Grav website and the admin access. I had to restore a backup to have the system working back.

Grav really miss a support for the dark mode in the admin side.

I searched in the plugin repo and I found an old plugin:
Dark Admin

This plugin maybe should be removed from the Grav plugin repo as can create real damage and is not maintained since long time, also issues are without replies.

I want report this also to GitHub but I dont know if I can do. Is not maybe a malware but once installed my website was destroyed and admin link not found anymore.

Grav has no solution to support dark mode in the admin?

@peopleinside, I’ve installed the plugin on a fresh install of the latest Grav v1.7.49.5 - Admin v1.10.49.3. I cannot reproduce the issue… No errors and Admin is shown in darkmode.

Also, after removing the plugin using rm -rf user/plugins/darkadmin, Admin was restored to its normal light mode.

Thanks for trying.
In my case destroyed the website and the admin. The admin URL was giving not found.
I had to resume a backup. I can read other old report of crash on the year 2022, we are in 2026 and this plugin is no more updated and no replies to oldest issues opened.

For me this plugin was very dangerous but ok, if other cannot reproduce the danger.
Anyone is a very old plugin and I’m surprise there is no a modern solution to have the Dark Mode on the admin side on Grav :blush:
