Addressing layout sections in Gantry-based Grav Themes as anchors

Each layout section of a Gantry-based theme has a dynamically generated anchor. How to discover what that is and use it in the menus?

Individual layout sections of Gantry-based layouts having anchors allows the use of anchors as menu items on longer pages or on long single page sites–with the lovely bouncy scroll effect and all.

It is a syntax thing–to someone who knows the framework cold. Does anyone remember? Rocket Theme’s forums no longer hold the answer and I can no longer find the answer in either the Gantry or Grav documentation.

I am using the Helium theme with Grav 1.7 and it’s great. I am not a real developer but I am able to make this work, and I am so thankful.

Thanks for schooling me.

Update:

I have stumbled into CSS ID, which although not automatically generated, will target areas of the gantry layout.

Now: Within pages how to create anchors in grav markdown? The Markdown page in GRAV documentation is throwing a file not found error. It is just not included in the 1.7 kbase 8(….

But it is still here: Markdown Syntax | Grav Documentation

How do I mark this topic resolved?

Wow

Okay. The markdown section IS STILL in the Grav documentation, the link from google is just broken, as it points to the 1.6 version whose how to use document is no longer hosted.

Everything about anchors is there Markdown Syntax | Grav Documentation The page hierarchy has just changed, thus the broken search engine link.
