Hi all, I tried on localhost (MAMP) to migrate my blog from Grav 1.7.52 to Grav 2, using the Migration plugin and following Andy’s instructions. When I arrived at “Step 5: Test” and hit “Open staged Install” the browser (firefox) gave me an error "Impossible to open the page.
I tried anyway to go on to step 6 and hit “Promote”, but I received the error "Internal server Error (see screenshot 1) and then, when I tried to return to my blog I received another error concerning Gantry 5 Framework plugin (see screenshot 2)
This was only a test on localhost, so I’m not worried about losing the website, but what if I want to perform the upgrade of my online site?
Is there a problem of incompatibility with Gantry 5 Plugin??
This would be really scaring, because I have several websites made with Gantry 5 plugin + Grav 1.7.5.2 + Rockettheme Templates and at this point I cannot update them!!
@maria, Don’t expect too much expertise on migration (yet) on this forum… Also, Andy never visits this forum.
You should direct all issues to the github repo of Grav: Issues · getgrav/grav · GitHub
I’ll definitely will report the issue in github repo. Thanks!!
I came across this issue as well with MAMP, and adjusting timeouts was the answer for me. This article was where I got that info: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/24715426/how-do-you-increase-the-apache-fastcgi-timeout-on-mamp-mamp-pro Hope that helps!
PS - I have no idea re: compatibility with Gantry 5
Hi Paul, thanks for your reply, but I need to know if Grav 2 will be compatible with Grav…
I will ask at github repo of Grav, following pamtbaau’s advice ![]()
@maria, Please copy any answers received at GitHub here on the forum. Others might benefit too…
This is the reply from Andy:
Gantry5 will need extensive work to work with Grav2. It’s doable but a decent sized job. I don’t maintain Gantry anymore, but i’ll reach out to the guys that do.
