Theme Scholar - Blank Screen

After installing the Theme “Scholar” i get a blank screen in the browser. Is this a normal response ?

If true are there some sample pages available?

Just by installing or by activating?

It’s not a normal response, your server might not be handling Grav correctly, and errors may be hidden. Check PHP’s error_log and the troubleshooting-guides.

The Scholar-theme also has a skeleton available, with sample pages, available to download with our without the Admin-plugin included.

Interim report:

  1. In before i had a working grav installation and installed the scholar theme. After activating the result were a blank white screen.

  2. Then i made a new skeleton grav+admin-plugin installation. After this i installed the scholar theme with gpm and activated it. The result were also a blank white screen.

  3. Now i made the scholar-theme skeleton with admin plugin. And voila - it works. So i have to find out whats the different.

FYI: i use it only local on a windows 10 platform.

Was the front-end blank, or the Admin-interface as well, after activating the theme? This could be the result of the templates and FrontMatter in the existing pages, as Scholar uses a more advanced Page typology than most themes. The examples in the skeleton’s pages illustrates this best.

Only the front-end were blank. The admin-plugin worked perfectly.

As a final statement. I could not find out whats going wrong with my initial installation.
But the sceleton with admin plugin works well.

Also after upgrade to the latest version.

I´v some follow-up questions - but they will follow in another thread.
