Nice site but I found it slow to load.
It is rather pokey, I will work on that thanks.
I turned on advanced cache and managed pipeline. It is much faster but the header graphic still flickers there must be some javascript that is forcing the image to load last. The css file is huge too, full of things from the original site that are not needed on this site. So there is some work to do yet.
.ClientLogo > a { background: #fff none repeat scroll 0 0; }
Change to
.ClientLogo > a { background: none; }
That should smooth out that header color change transition.
Wow, thank you very much, going to try it now. I think I am going to move this site to a proper host, the slow speed is misrepresenting how fast Grav is.
I launched another site a few days ago. I had it hosted on Windows Azure and it was slow. I now have it hosted on Arrixe and it is quite peppy. New site is at: http://breastcancersnowrun.org.
Oh yah, runs soooo much better now mike!
Not as fast as your site, but fast enough for me. It is strange how poorly that site ran on Azure. I did a bunch of experiments and if I turned on AdvancedCache, got rid of the photo galleries, the site went about twice as fast but still slow. I moved it to Arvixe and it was 10 times faster even with the photo galleries. I put a copy on my own over-burdened Windows virtual server that is on a large cloud host and it was just a tiny bit slower than Arvixe but still just fine. I am not knocking Azure, some sites I have on there run so well and some things I tried on Arvixe are slow. I guess the old adage āUse the right tool, use the tool rightā applies here. Thanks for the help and I hope my experiments are helpful.
Thatās way better
Here is my first Grav site
http://klavierduo-eckerle.de
@n2ray that is really nice! Iām going to add that to the showcase on the new site.
@rhukster Thanks! Iām going to use Grav for the up coming projects too.
@n2ray, very nice site! One thing I noticed: Soundcloud pop ups only working the first click. If you close them and want to reopen again site darkens but no popup showing. Tested on Firefox and Chromium.

@arank, Thank you and for the notice! Now is fixed

Wow, awesome to see so many great Grav sites added to this post in just 5 months!
Since my initial post of an early prototype (no longer available), Iāve created a complete course companion using Grav and Bob Rockefellerās Materialize theme. The live site is at http://cmpt-363-153.hibbittsdesign.com and the source files are on GitHub at https://github.com/paulhibbitts/cmpt-363-153-website/
In the next few months I might also be making a more streamlined version of this site available as a Grav Skeleton, please get in touch with me if you are interested in such a thing.
Just launched my first grav based site
for a really good photographer.
Thatās very nice⦠Have to add that one to our website
Cord has a nice one here: http://www.mailbeez.com
