I just noticed there’s a beta version of v1.8 CMS. There’s an upgrade link in the README, but it leads to a 404
page But there are some notes in the CHANGELOG
Anyone tried it yet?

Hi @Karmalakas , yes I’ve been trying the new beta builds with test builds with my four Grav Skeletons and so far my themes + skeletons have been working well: https://test.hibbittsdesign.org (running on PHP 8.4).
Here is the note Andy posted on Discord:
Grav 1.8.0-beta.1 has been released. The primary purpose of this release is to update PHP version to 8.2 as a minimum, and also to update the core + vendor libraries to latest versions. This is a fairly involved job as we’re jumping from Symfony 4 to the latest Symfony 6, plus Twig 1 to Twig 2 (3 breaks compatibiity to much), and many other big version jumps in dependencies. This release NEEDS TESTING! Please help by testing on existing sites, by installing 1.8 and copying the user/
folder from an existing to site to the new 1.8 installation. PLEASE DON’T RUN 1.8-beta IN PRODUCTION!!! Download via the Grav site: Downloads | Grav CMS
Beta 2 is now available via GetGrav.org.
Do you know if there’s some timeline or just a natural flow?
Unfortunatelly I can’t really test, because I don’t have PHP 8 support on my hosting. It’s provided by my ex-colleague and it’s pretty cheap, so I’m not pushing him too much yet
No timeline yet, and 1.7.x is also still getting updates and releases (1.8x will be fully compatible with PHP above 8.2 if I understand correctly)
